Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team was requested by North Wales Police to assist in the search for a high-risk missing person. Initial coordination and planning took place with police to focus search efforts on the casualty’s last known location.
A formal multi-agency search operation was subsequently launched, involving Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team, South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team and two SARDA Wales search dogs. Search resources were deployed to cover key areas identified through ongoing police enquiries and search planning.
Before the search was completed, North Wales Police located the missing person safe and well in Machynlleth. All search resources were stood down and the incident was brought to a close.
