The team were called to assist in the search for a missing woman after her husband, who had been seriously injured in a road traffic collision between Tywyn and Bryncrug, reported that he could not locate her.
Due to the limited and conflicting information available, search teams carried out a number of enquiries and searches around Tywyn, including the town centre, local car parks, school grounds and areas between Tywyn and Bryncrug. Police drone resources were also deployed to assist with the search.
The missing woman was eventually located by the police drone on waste ground behind the cinema in Tywyn. Team members were quickly redirected to the scene, provided casualty care and carried out a stretcher evacuation to the nearby Coastguard Station, where she was handed over to the ambulance service for further assessment and treatment.
