A father and son requested assistance after severe weather damaged their tent whilst camping on Cadair Idris. After deciding to leave the mountain, they lost the path during their descent and took shelter beside a wall before calling for help.
Using location technology, the pair were quickly identified as being only a short distance from Fox’s Path. Following a welfare check by phone, they were provided with directions and monitored remotely as they made their way safely back onto the path and down to the road.
Once off the mountain, it was established that they were only a short distance from their vehicle at Ty Nant and no further assistance was required.
