Whilst responding to reports of an unwell male on the summit of Cadair Idris, team members encountered and second group of walkers one of whom was struggling to walk due to leg injury.
With deteriorating weather and low cloud affecting the summit, team members provided assistance and requested helicopter support. Additional personnel were deployed carrying extra warm clothing and lighting whilst plans were made for an evacuation.
The casualty was successfully evacuated from the mountain by Coastguard helicopter, allowing all team members to return safely from the hill later that evening.
