The team were called out early in the morning to a member of a group who had been camping on the summit of Cadair Idris. He had injured his ankle the previous evening. Low cloud and poor visibility meant the team used 4×4 vehicles to get as high on the mountain as possible, before starting the walk up. The casualty, in considerable pain, was treated and loaded onto the stretcher and carried from the summit hut to the roadhead for onward transport to hospital.
