Shortly before 5:00 p.m., the water-rescue group was put on standby to assist South Snowdonia Search & Rescue Team (SSSRT) in a recovery operation relating to an ongoing missing person search on the river Mawddach near Dolgellau. In the event, the task was managed by SSSRT and North Wales Fire and Rescue personnel, and our volunteers were not required.
