At around 6:45 p.m. Team call handlers received a request from Brecon Mountain Rescue to assist with the search for a high risk missing person in Glandyfi to the south of Machynlleth. Due to associated travel times for Brecon, it was agreed that Aberdyfi SART was best placed to coordinate the response and Brecon Team was stood down. Team volunteers, along with members of South Snowdonia Search and Rescue Team and SARDA Wales search Dogs joined H.M. Coastguard Helicopter, RNLI (Borth and Aberdyfi) along with Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue as part of the multi-agency search response. Shortly 10:30pm the missing person was located by Aberdyfi team members and was assisted back to the road. The Team stood down at 11:00 p.m. R936 illuminates the margins of the Dyfi estuary.
