Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team was called to Brid Rock to assist after a walker sustained a severe ankle injury, resulting in significant deformity of the foot and lower leg. Due to the nature of the injury, the casualty’s party initially contacted the ambulance service, who subsequently tasked the Air Ambulance.
Mountain rescue team members were deployed to support the incident and assist with the evacuation. Following assessment and treatment, the casualty was carefully stretchered from the scene to the waiting aircraft for rapid transfer to hospital for specialist care.
