Click here to edt. A 66 year old lady with a leg injury was airlifted from Cadair Idris on Friday 10th of August 2012 in the evening. The woman had been walking around Llyn Cau when she slipped on rocks and injured her ankle. Immediate assistance was provided by a passing off-duty police officer, and volunteers from Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team were quickly on the scene to assess and stabilise the casualty. An ASART stretcher party was dispatched from Minffordd to carry down the injured lady, but in the event the RAF helicopter was able to offer assistance, winching the casualty to safety and transporting her to Bronglais hospital for further assessment and treatment.
