At 12:32pm, a report was received that an 11-year-old boy had become separated from his family near the summit of Cadair Idris after running ahead of the group. Due to his age, unfamiliarity with the area and lack of a mobile phone, concerns were raised for his welfare.
Fortunately, he was quickly located safe and well and reunited with his family. No mountain rescue deployment was required.
