A group of four walkers were on the upper section of the Fox’s Path when a boulder the size of a football rolled onto one person’s foot. The group helped the casualty down to flatter ground near Llyn y Gadair and called for assistance. Our team deployed quickly with a vacuum splint, shelter, and pain relief. With heavy rain and fading light, we requested support from the Coastguard Helicopter, which airlifted the casualty to Aberystwyth. HM Coastguard Aberystwyth secured a landing site for transfer to ambulance and onward to Ysbyty Bronglais. Everyone was off the hill by 1930
