On Saturday afternoon the team was alerted to an injured walker on the peaks above Bwlch Oerddrws. The walker, one of an outdoor education centre party, had slipped and sustained an injured ankle, and the team was readied for a stretcher evacuation off the hill. In the event perfect flying conditions and an available aircraft meant that the walker was airlifted to hospital by a Sea King helicopter from RAF Valley, and the team were stood down. (stock photo)
