At around 1:45 p.m. on Wed 5th April, call handlers from Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team were made aware of a 67 year-old woman with a suspected broken ankle on Cadair Idris. As volunteers from the team assembled a request for air assistance was made to the Coastguard service, and with an aircraft inbound two team members made their up to the scene to assist in helicopter operations and to assist in casualty transfer. The remaining Team volunteers waited at Minffordd in case further equipment was requested, but in the event the rescue was managed by the heli crew and rescue team hasty party. The casualty assisted to tha aircraft was flown to Ysbwty Gwynedd for further assessment and treatment.
