At around 7:00 p.m. volunteers from Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team were requested to help the Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) in the rescue of an injured man at Dolgellau. The 73 year old man had slipped on wet stepping stones, crossing the Afon Arran near the centre of town, and had sustained what was believed to be a broken arm. The solo WAS paramedic attending the incident requested assistance in removing the man from the river. As Team members made their way to the scene, the situation was resolved by WAS and the Dogellau Fire Service who transferred the casualty to the waiting ambulance. The Team was stood down at about 7:15 p.m.
