Aberdyfi Search and Rescue Team was alerted after a concerned resident reported that a walker’s vehicle had remained parked in the same location overnight after the walker had stated plans to visit the Aran mountains.
Following discussions and ongoing investigation with North Wales Police, it was assessed that there was no evidence the walker was in difficulty, and with good weather conditions and the possibility of an intended overnight stay, an immediate search was not initiated.
Further enquiries by North Wales Police later established contact with the walker, who was safe and well. The incident was then closed without the need for a full search deployment.
