On Saturday 22nd volunteers from ASART were on hand to help the South Snowdonia Team in the rescue of a walker from the head of Cwm Mynach. The male walker, part of a large party setting out to climb Diffwys, slipped on the lower sections of the old mining incline, and having fallen a short distance, sustained a dislocated knee. The casualty was immediately attended by a National Park Ranger, and Rescue Team members were shortly on the scene to carry him off the hill and to a waiting ambulance at the valley bottom.
